Commercial Description:
Great Divide's Yeti Imperial Stout is an onslaught of the senses. An almost viscous, inky-black brew, Yeti opens with a massive, roasty, chocolate, coffee malt flavor that eventually gives way to rich toffee and burnt caramel notes. Packed with an enormous quantity of American hops, Yeti's hop profile reveals a slightly citrusy, piney, and wonderfully dry hoppy finish. 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

excellent beer. Dark, roasted flavor. Has that ’grainy’ mouthfeel and high abv content that I covet. Very hoppy for a stout but delicous none the less.

Pours redish black with a thin beige/yellow head with some lacing. Roasted, acidic nose with small hints of orange. Burnt flavour, with some notes of coffee and dark chocolate. Rounded taste. A very pleasant imperial stout-ish acidicness in finish.

Thank you Tidiaguy! This beer has a delightfully soft creamy texture but is loaded with flavor. It packs a punch with its roasted layer of coffee, caramel malt and chocalate notes swirled around in an array of hops. It is complex but incredibly balanced and tasty. I like this one better than the oak aged version.

22 oz bomber special thanks to 123456Green. Darkest pour with a minimal brown head. Aroams are very sweet. Orange, Cherry, dried fruit, some sweet chocolate. More chocolate covered cherries after a few sniffs. Lots of chocolate in the flavor. Much roastiness up front. Some alcohol warming in the middle along with some more dark fruit. A not so bitter but hoppy finish is wonderful. Excellent

22oz bottle received as a gift from my Secret Santa.. Thanks Mullman - Pours black and thick with a brown creamy head that laces quite well. Aromas of chocolate covered raisins, plums and a bit of coffee. Flavor is beautifully smokey, quite coffee-like, roasted malts, some plum, a touch of caramel, and a great chocolate coating over it all. The taste is quite complex and quite delicious. The palate is amazing. Absolutely great feel in the mouth thick and chewy but oh so creamy and smooth. So rich and so delicious.. I hardly noticed the 75 IBUs, but then I hardly noticed the 9.5% alcohol either. I’m looking forward to trying the Oak Aged.. I find it difficult to figure out how this could improve much more. Great stuff.

Bottle at LCRBM. one of the best at the tasting session. aroma: pine, resin, hoppy. taste: resinous, coffee, chocolate, a little earthy/smokey, bitter and hop( all in a very powerful taste explosion, from the begin till the end). very good....

As adequately documented below, this was a lovely pour. Rolled out of the bottle like warm black ink, and topped with a nice caramel crown of head. Aroma is heavy on the roasted malts, with undertones of coffee, toffee, chocolate, caramel, and some hops that add a nice twist to the style. The hops are also prominently featured in the quite complex flavor profile. Chocolate and coffee malts hit the palate first, with toffee and some citrusy hops toward the back. Long roasty finish with a nice hop twist. Heavily-bodied, but very smooth mouthfeel. The Yeti rocks! I like his style.

Pours like motor oil. Thick, opaque black with a thick creamy brown head. Looks like a frothy milkshake. Quite lacy and tantalizing. Smells like milk chocolate with some coffee bitterness underneath. Taste is a wave of roasty dark malt. There’s a coffee bitterness that steps right up and bites you. Sweet malty chocolate, mily offset by that powerful mocha bitterness. The mouth is surprisingly creamy with that lingering coffee bean aftertaste. Tasty beer and surprisingly drinkable. A newcomer to ATL and a welcome one. A fantastic imperial stout that takes no prisoners.
