Dark brown tight head prevails. Moderate aromas of dark chocolate, espresso and roasted malt emmanate from the snifter. Mouthfeel replicates the visual on the pour, thick and oily. Overwhelming blast of bitter-sweet black malts, coffee, and chocolate assault the palate, immediately sliding into a crisp, dry hoppy bitterness which very successfully balances this delicious brew out quite nicely. Admirably well done!! legion242 (1587), Richardson, Texas, USA

Poured deep black with the darkest head that I have seen since the reverend Redhook Double Black Stout. Very enticing aroma. Lovely mouthfeel. I wonder if this one will age well. I plan on finding out. One of the best Imperial Stouts that I have ever had, hands down. Strykzone (1499), Wood River, Illinois, USA

Just beautiful with its very dark color and incredibly thick, rich, and dark head. Aroma is almost as inviting and is full of malt. First taste brings roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and hops for tartness. Just wonderful! Mouth feel is smooth as a prom queen’s thighs. Yeti is an amazing balance of boldness and subtleness. This beer is so good it could be called inspiring. Drinking it is close to a religious experience. CaptainCougar (5530), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Oct 11, 2003 Pours very thick , like motor oil and very black. Absolutely opaque with a thin light brown head. Pleasant chocolate roasted coffee aroma with some dark fruit complexity. All the carbonation seems to be trapped within the immensely thick body. Swirling the beer kicks up one of the darkest heads I've seen. Starts thick and sweet like molasses, goes through a lightly sour phase and finishes with dark chocolate, roasted coffee beans and plums. Mild hop flavor throughout. Don't know if the bitterness is from the hops or the dark malts. I do detect a nice floral hop aspect though. No noticeable alcohol on the palate. Finishes roasted and sticky sweet. A great imperial stout and by far the best I've had from Great Divide. loweredsixth (942), Fresno, California, USA

The aroma was sharp...chocolate, bitter hops, coffee, slight sourness. The flavor was huge...strong roasted coffee tones with some chocolate and bitter hops and some slight sour milk. The feel was great...thick, very creamy, sticky (lips felt very sticky after each drink) and perfectly carbonated. Immense imperial stout...I love it. scraff (1955), Baltimore, Maryland, USA

The nose on this killer brew is loads of citric fruits, roasted cocoa, vanilla, toffee, charred coffee beans, and a few vinous notes upon swirling in the snifter. Flavor is similar, but the IBU’s shine thru with a nice hoppy citirc fruit kick that is balanced by the rich malty roasted coffee and caramel undertones. Full bodied, soft carbonation, semi-dry, hoppy finish. Another "big beer" winner from Great Divide. Thanks again Brian. MartinT (5075), Montreal, Quebec, Canada

The aroma is sweet and malty with notes of licorice, alcohol and a sweet smokiness. A slight touch of chocolate is also noticed. The flavor is sweet and full of roasted malt with notes of chocolate, coffee, alcohol and anise. The brew is thick anf full bodied yet smooth.
