Commercial Description:
Great Divide's Yeti Imperial Stout is an onslaught of the senses. An almost viscous, inky-black brew, Yeti opens with a massive, roasty, chocolate, coffee malt flavor that eventually gives way to rich toffee and burnt caramel notes. Packed with an enormous quantity of American hops, Yeti's hop profile reveals a slightly citrusy, piney, and wonderfully dry hoppy finish. 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

This is everything I’d expect from an Imperial stout and more. Very very smooth beer can brighten a cold winter evening. I’d given it a 20, but I’m reserving that score until I try a bottle of the oak aged I’ve been saving.

smellls of sweet roasted malts, carmel, and a hint of citrusy hops. syrupy texture and black in color with a dark brown orange head. oily palate. i definitly notice the hops underneath the roasted chocolate malts. tastes of chocolate covered oranges. similar to a rogue stout with the hop content. unique and enjoyable. great find.--11/2/05-- re-rate- well, it’s been a long time since i’ve had this one, so i decided to re-rate. pours completely black with a large creamy whipped dark brown head. aroma of dark chocolate, milk chocolate, sugared coffee, espresso, mocha. full bodied and creamy. flavors like the aroma with notes of orange and pine. this still rocks just as hard.

BOOM! This is a killer Imperial Stout. Pours deep black with a minimal tan head. Thick and creamy with hints of burnt cocoa and espresso. 9.5% abv is hidden with ease. A perfectly balanced Imperial Stout!

Aroma of this beer is pure delight - thick and oily, strongly of fine coffee with hints of molasses, miso and unsweetened chocolate. It pours a deep, rich, warm, opaque sable with a very thick and fairly persistent tan head. Flavor does not disappoint - it is strongly chocolaty with coffee and malty tones and hints of toffee plus a bit of a hoppy bitter bite. Texture is thick and smooth, and fairly tingly so you know that you’re drinking a fine beer. Almost perfection, this one!

Black pour with a dense tan head that lasts and lasts. Rich coffee, chocolate, and molasses aroma with a pronounced citrus hop note. Big roasted malts up front, strong flavor of brown sugar and a pronounced roasted hop finish. Thick full creamy mouthfeel. This just might be one of my new favorites. Good stuff!

A very very good imperial stout that is wonderfully smoky and dirty tasting. Poured a thick black with a frothy huge head but that’s because I just dumped the beer in there.

Black as coal. Aroma is sweet. Roasted malt flavors are big in this one and the hops really close in on the finish. Outstanding brew and, for the record, two of the large bottles is absolutely enough unless you plan on sleeping in the next day!

A nice dark colour. Smooth yet darke with a touch of sweetness. Espresso-esque malty, chocolate-like
