Commercial Description:
Great Divide's Yeti Imperial Stout is an onslaught of the senses. An almost viscous, inky-black brew, Yeti opens with a massive, roasty, chocolate, coffee malt flavor that eventually gives way to rich toffee and burnt caramel notes. Packed with an enormous quantity of American hops, Yeti's hop profile reveals a slightly citrusy, piney, and wonderfully dry hoppy finish. 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Pours very dark and syrupy. Off white, brownish foam head. Has aroma of dark chocolate and coffee. Not too bitter, but nice and sweet.

In the bottle from By the Bottle in Vancouver, WA.
Pours pitch black, like chocolate syrup, with a medium/small, dark brown head. Looks like creme from an espresso. Aroma is dark chocolate covered espresso beans next to a campfire. Taste is sensational! Coats you palate from beginning to end. Extremely well-rounded. Hops are still having a go at it despite the incredible dark malts. Very thick mouth feel but still pleasant to drink. Great hop finish and hardly even noticing the 75 IBUs. Excellent beer! Can’t wait to try the Oak-Aged Yeti sitting in my fridge.

Poured from bottle into a snifter. Seems to be black (although it may just be an exceedingly dark brown), opaque, cappuccino head that subsides but leaves lacing. Can easily recreate a small head with a quick swirl. Aroma of chocolate, dark fruit, sweet caramel, some roasted malts, a trace of alcohol. Sweet chocolate, burnt malts, some coffee, a lot more bitter than the smell indicated (but not as bitter as Storm King). Warming, thick and chewy. It doesn’t get any smoother. About as drinkable as a Russian Imperial Stout can be. I could keep sipping this until I die.

Just incredible. Really tempting aroma with a pitch black color. The flavor is very full with a chocolaty, caramely flavor that gives way to a toffee aftertaste. Absolutely delicious

1pint 6oz, $6.89. Aroma is wonderful. Notes of of molasses, dark chocolate, coffee, raisin, plum, port, and smoke. Average sized frothy light-brown head that mostly lasted and left great lace. Dark black hue. moderately sweet and lightly sour. Finish is average. Palate is full bodied and oily flat. A little alcohol on the finish but overall a fantastic brew.

Simply an amazing brew. A huge chocolate head that last forever. A taste of coffee and great bitter hops. A style I love and this is one of my favs. As the beer warmed the flavor kept evolving...Almost as good as Ale smiths Speedway-almost.

22oz bottle. Pour black in color with brown head. Aroma is sweet, alcohol, chocolate and roasted coffee. Taste dark chocolate and roasted coffee with bitter finish.

This is another great IMP stout. While I haven’t tried its big brother yet I’m sure it is just as great. This beer is dark, thick and is a beer to enjoy. It tastes of coffee, dark chocolate and slightly bitter. The hops are definitely underplayed which can be nice. Highly recommend this beer and will always try to keep it on hand.
