Commercial Description:
Great Divide's Yeti Imperial Stout is an onslaught of the senses. An almost viscous, inky-black brew, Yeti opens with a massive, roasty, chocolate, coffee malt flavor that eventually gives way to rich toffee and burnt caramel notes. Packed with an enormous quantity of American hops, Yeti's hop profile reveals a slightly citrusy, piney, and wonderfully dry hoppy finish. 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

I’m finishing this one up right now, and it is amazing. A million flavors going on all at once.Coffee, caramel dominate the aroma. Palate is distinctly bitter with the addition of some alcohol. Great, great stout.

Pours a thick inky black color with a good 2" of deep brown head. Some spidery lacing. Nice roasted grains in the aroma. Strong roasted malt, coffee, toffee, and black cherry in the flavor. A delicious combination. Then, a solid hop bitterness is followed by an alcoholic aftertaste. Full bodied, softly carbonated, potent. In a word - splendid.

22 oz. bottle pours a pitch black fluid with a nice brown head. Awesome lacing. Earthy, woody smell with toffee and fresh hops. Viscosity is 10w 40 weight motor oil. Taste is of toasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate with a slight sweetness of dark plums. Has a pleasantly bitter blackened malt, rich coffee taste finish followed by a nice, fresh hop tasting burp. Sweet licorice aroma mixed with a distinct whiff of alcohol, deep brown with small brown and white head. This stout is on the sweet side. Hints of dates, plums, toffee, maple syrup. Nice alcohol finish. Very drinkable.

This beer offers a nice hearty aroma of coffee blended with toffee. It pours as a black solution that rests under a thick milky brown head that sticks around a while. This moderately thick beer spreads well through the mouth tingling all the taste buds with the sweet taste of coffee and malt. Those flavors transform into a caramel flavor as the solution flows down the throat.

Pours black with a dark brown head. Very sweet. Has a strong caramel/sugary effect in the back of the throat. Port-like. nice warming alcohol in the finish. I actually prefer this one to the oak aged version.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of Secret Santa. Pours an opaque black with a massive mocha colored head. Lots of roasted malt, chocolate and coffee in the aroma. Lots of flavor in this brew too. Initially, there is plenty of roasted malt with chocolate also very present. The coffee is there as well, but not as strong as the other two. After a few seconds, a long, bitter finish kicks in from the hops. There is also some heat from the alcohol in the finish. Really, really good stuff!

Great pour - dark black brown with a small tan head. Some roasted notes in nose. Nice choco-coffee start, port middle, and maly finish. Great Imperial.
