Commercial Description:
Great Divide's Yeti Imperial Stout is an onslaught of the senses. An almost viscous, inky-black brew, Yeti opens with a massive, roasty, chocolate, coffee malt flavor that eventually gives way to rich toffee and burnt caramel notes. Packed with an enormous quantity of American hops, Yeti's hop profile reveals a slightly citrusy, piney, and wonderfully dry hoppy finish. 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Heavy, lingering aroma with notes of dark chocolate, roasted beans and dark cherries. Thick mouthfeel, with a deep complexity. Melting flavors of sugary sweet caramels and semi-sweet chocolates churn into a deep, burnt roastiness with a very pleasant and clean finish.

Wow. This is a truly awesome beer. After starting to wonder whether I actually like impys this brought me right back. Fantastic aroma of dark chocolate and roasted nuts laced with alcohol. Just lightly sweet, with a balanced resinousness giving a oily smooth silky mouthfeel. Rich dark chocolate going on. Finishes with just enough alcohol to raise the choco-malitness once more and finish with a silky bitterness. Just fantastic. Double bravo.

This is a truly pitch black beer with a huge, delicious, creamy and brown head. The aroma has notes of coffee, dark roasted malt and caramel. The flavour is fantastic!! It has loads o dark roasted malt, hops and before the big hoppy symphony closes the ball, there are a lot of notes: Sweetness, caramel, coffee, nougat, licorice and chocolate. It’s very complex and exciting and worthy of a high score...!

Represents an ideal balance of robust roast flavor, maltiness and fresh hops tastes. Very chewy palate caramel sweetness followed by pungent floral bouquest along the tounge. High alcohol content is subtly introduced

Poured a dark black color with rich, thick, dark brown head. Aroma was a magnificent carmel-toffee, with hints of chocolate. The flavor was a continuation of this toffee-caramel-chocolate, and the alcohol crept in as the beer warmed to be a perfect complement to the malty-sweet-candy shop flavors. Left an excellent sweet-dry palate. This is the best Impy Stout I’ve ever had.

Almost black bodied with a large tan head and LOTS of lacing. Strong C-hops in the aroma, with some liqourice, chocolate and coffee. Taste of dark pure chocolate, coffee, burnt sugar, sweet whipped cream, STRONG hoppiness, and more espresso and bitter chocolate in the (extremely long) finish. Immense mouthfeel, very thick. Not much carbonation, but certainly enough. World class stout.

Pours like any perfect Imperial Stout. It is pitch black, thick, with a dark mahogany head. Aroma is pure coffee and nothing else. Flavor is huge, with a coffee and dark chocolate body, finished with a bitter sweet burnt/toasted malt. This and the oak aged Yeti are amongst the tops in their class.
