Commercial Description:
Great Divide's Yeti Imperial Stout is an onslaught of the senses. An almost viscous, inky-black brew, Yeti opens with a massive, roasty, chocolate, coffee malt flavor that eventually gives way to rich toffee and burnt caramel notes. Packed with an enormous quantity of American hops, Yeti's hop profile reveals a slightly citrusy, piney, and wonderfully dry hoppy finish. 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Dark black......opaque. Thick, creamy head. Malty aroma, with a hint of sweetness. Strong roasted malt flavors up front......pretty smooth mouthfeel, with only a faint crispness. Complex hop notes mixed with a bold malt flavor in the back......long, somewhat dry finish.

Pours black with small light brown head, hues of burgundy. Excellent aroma of roasted malts bringing out a woody fruit aroma with hints of dark chocolate and some spice. Initially a smooth dark sweetness, followed by the warming of the palate and liquid. Flavor transitions to a tingling dry bitter/burnt chocolate that lingers long after the initial mouthful. Dark dirty and brilliant brew!

This a very enjoyable beer from start to finish because its agressive chocolate and malt flavors remain consistent from aroma to palate -- a quality that most beers fail to achieve.

Bottle @ home. Pitch black with a beige head. Great aroma of chocolate, roasted malts/coffee, some hops, and more chocolate. Taste is very rich, with creamy chocolate, burnt coffee and a hoppy finish. Despite the high ABV just little alcohol is noticed. Mouthfeel is oily and syrupy. Very, very good.

(USA) I agree with fellow knight (moses) about this one !! Pours a dark brown almost black color with a med tan head. Aroma is of chocolate, coffee, and malts. There is some bitterness but on the mild side. I recommend this imperal stout, go get some.
