Smells of dark molasses, roasted malt and dark chocolate. Nice mouthfeel, would like a little thicker. Good roasted flavor with chocolate flavor throughout. Medium carbonation and far amount of hoppy bitterness to offset the alcohol which you don’t feel until it’s in your stomach. What a nicely balanced beer. brewmaster420 (6), Canton, Ohio, USA does not count | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Feb 20, 2008 I liked the beer even though Im not a big fan of imperial stouts. But its such a smooth beer. Definetly a good beer to sip on cause this shit will knock you on your ass if you try and drink it fast. | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Feb 19, 2008 Picked this up at the brewery today in a 4 pack. Pours dark black with a nice tan head. Has a nice aroma of roasted malts. Head retention was medium and has some lacing. Body of beer had very hearty flavors of dark roasted malts with a side of a hop presence. Overall a very tasty imperial stout. GeneralGao (3057), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 10, 2008 12 oz bottle. "Enjoy by" date on bottle was 8/2/07. Poured pretty thick. Color was opaque black. Head was thick and tan with good retention and lacing. Aroma was of chocolate and molasses with a whiff of cola. Smooth, creamy mouth feel. Slightly sweet with vanilla, chocolate, and toffee flavors. Warm alcohol was ever-present and there was a hint of lingering roasty bitterness at the end. Nothing harsh or over-the-top. A strong beer that even non-beer nerds would enjoy. beerhandy (195), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA

Appearance- To quote Nigel Tufnel: "It’s like, how much more black could this be? and the answer is none. None more black." with a good tan head that hangs around for a while leaving a nice ring easily brought back with a few aggitations in the glass.
Smell- Chocolate, espresso, smoky and brilliant. There’s a slight alcohol presence at the finish, but not overpowering.
Taste- Heavenly! Everything the aroma offered and more. Alcohol is indeed present, but not offensive. Delicious!
Mouthfeel- Warming and smooth. This is a beer that will sneak up on you and kick you in the sack.
Drinkability- Dangerously easy for an Imperial Stout. Must get more!!! milljam (569), Norman, Oklahoma, USA
