JohnBarleycorn (372), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 17, 2008 Bottle. More brown than red, with a light-brown body and dark brown around the edges. Aroma is pretty weak overall, with vague cherry and malt shyly making their presence known. Weak palate tips towards the offensive end of the scale. Macro-style watered-down flavour profile a real letdown, with inoffensive malt, slight fruit and very little length. Built like a buck-a-beer, but with a premium craft-brewed price tag. gilvanblight (338), Windsor, Ontario, Canada Aug 9, 2008 Burnt Sienna colour with a very light soapy head. Smokey warm and slighly nutty scent. Watery at first but then a nice malty rise. Thick flavourful finish. Rahter nice. I could see drinking this all night. The more I have the more I like it. Wish this was avaliable locally all the time. Barnabus (28), Niagara, Ontario, Canada Jun 15, 2008 Bottle from the OCB pack. Good mouth-feel is the best I can say. The aroma is lightly sweet with no hops. A pronounced caramel flavour. Strangely though, I enjoyed it overall. douglas88 (708), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA Jun 8, 2008 Updated: Jun 9, 2008Bottle thanks to matt7215. Pours a hazy red with a small white head. The aroma is mostly a caramel malt. The taste is dominated by a somewhat spicy caramel flavored malt. Initially it is a quite fizzy and a spicy malt that is followed by a soft sludge of sweet and not pleasant finish. Not bad, but needs something, especially in the finish. wilderthanyou (306), Guelph, Ontario, Canada May 29, 2008 Pours a deep amber red with no head. Very light sweet malty aroma. Flavour is incredibly docile, mostly just really light malty sweetness, caramel, and carbonation. Pretty boring.
