Red copper lager with a collapsing off white head. Aroma of sweet wet dough. In mouth, sweet fruity malt, with notes of phenolics, and very thin bodied, short in mouth. Not bad, just plain and boring.

Toronto Festival of Beer 2001 - Unexceptional, but drinkable. I got it by mistake thinking it was Red Maple from Northern. Beerfest 2003 rerate: Slightly sweet aroma, no head, thin bodied.

Pours a deep amber red with no head. Very light sweet malty aroma. Flavour is incredibly docile, mostly just really light malty sweetness, caramel, and carbonation. Pretty boring.

I tried this beer on February 14, 2008 at "Smokeless Joe’s" in Toronto. The beer poured a beautiful translucent dark red colour with a very thin white head. The aroma was very weak with a slight malt smell. The mouthfeel was light, dry, with low carbonation. The flavour was slightly malty, and slightly sour. Not an enjoyable beer, and very similar to Alexander Keith’s Red.

Bottle: Rusty with no head. Sweet malt aroma. Subdued flavours of fruit and cookie dough. Thin body with a slight off-dry taste.

bottle. deep copper body with a small, white, creamy head. I’m getting nothing off the aroma. maybe some mild soapy detergent...sweet cookie and bready flavour. sweet finish. sub-par.

reddish brown, off white head. scant aroma of caramel and malt. the flavour starts out toasty malt and goes a little bitter, but then disappears in a whirlwind of water and carbonation.
