Nice looking amber beer, ample head and a fairly lively carbonation. There’s a crisp floral nose to this one - not much spice or citrus, but it’s appealing nonetheless. It drinks like more of a highly hopped amber to me, with big chewy malts dominating the mouthfeel and the flavor. All in all, nice and enjoyable. SoBloHero (56), Buffalo, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 5, 2008 A nice IPA with a different flavor than some other IPAs. It isnt as strong as some other beers in the same category, but overall very enjoyable and a nice introduction to the category. Skyview (4090), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 3, 2008 Picked up a single 12-oz bottle at Bob McFarland’s Liquors in McFarland, WI. Pours a clear golden amber brew with a thick and lumpy off-white head that has some good retention and sticky lacing. Aroma of light multi-grain malt, some caramel, toffee with plenty of citrus and pine hop character. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with a powdery caramel malt flavor with additional flavors of grapefruit zest, iced tea and some soft pine. Finish is semi-sweet, a slight grapefruit and pine aftertaste with a light powdered malt finish. Actually, it’s quite refreshing for a mild IPA. dm9831 (1167), Monee, Illinois, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 27, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a medium sized mostly lasting beige head. The nose is sweet caramel/toffee and citrus hops. The flavor is a wonderfully balanced mix of the same caramel/toffee malt with citrus and a touch of pine hops. Some biterness to the finish. This is one of my go to beers for my area; highly sessionable. Ughsmash (4079), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 25, 2008 Bottle, BB 12/24/07. Poured bright, clear orangey-golden with a tall, creamy cap of off-white head. The aroma picked up sweet and juicy grapefruit and caramel, surrounded by lighter fruits including a hint of orange.. soft overall and very pleasant. The flavor had sweet, drawn caramel and grapefruit at the core with building (but never high) pine and citrusy bitterness around the edges.. the spicy, bitter finish was very enjoyable. Medium-bodied and well-balanced on the palate.. an overall solid performer.
