Head was mostly dimishing leaving medium lacing. Aroma was pine and citrus hops. (mostly pine) Big hop taste with a well balanced malt. Very good beer, and a pretty cool name and label as well. decaturstevo (2010), decatur, Tennessee, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 24, 2006 An orange/amber pour with minimal white head. An aroma of applish hops and sweet malt. A flavor of hops that is similiar to when you eat grapefruit after you’ve had sweetened orange juice. No alcohol warm with it. An excellent bitter finish. One of my favorite new pale ales. I wish it were available to see if it would be as good everytime I open one for a few days running. This is a very good beer. JoshuaB (428), Detroit, Michigan, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 18, 2006 As far as I was concerned, this was a mistake from beside the lake. It had so much against it: thinnish (despite some interest and certainly carbonation, beneath it it was on the limp side), too bitter (metallic finish), and lacking depth (some pine citrus but not enough in all the right places). It wasn’t even all that rich in color among APAs. Didn’t do it for me. realale420 (399), west covina, California, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 14, 2006 12oz bottle (thanks to GrbDg) poured a clear copper color with a nice white head and good carbonation. Aromas of citrus hops and sweet caramel malts. The taste had a crisp hop bitterness that wasn’t too overpowering along with some nice malts that help balance out. Overall an all around good pale that has everything an American Pale Ale should. milewide (620), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 13, 2006 Nicely bitter for a pale ale. Grain taste comes through as well. Reddish amber color. footbalm (1219), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 13, 2006 Okay... another Pale Ale that has some pop to it. These brews have changed my opinion of Pale Ales. This was nice as the lemony hoppy refreshing flavor was a great way to cap off a day without getting blasted from one beer.
