xnoxhatex (791), Chicago, Illinois, USA May 7, 2008 Sample at West Lakeview Liquors, Chicago, Great Lakes Tasting. Clear orange-amber color with medium-small off-white head. Aroma has a fair amount of citrus, though very well balanced in the caramel malt to hop ratio. It is very similar in the flavor as well with a very dry malt body overall. Medium body with good carbonation. Overall a very well-balanced but unexciting brew.
Jmichael (584), Asheville, North Carolina, USA Oct 13, 2008 light clear copper pour with full head, smooth palate, with light finish, hidden citrus tones, refreshing quality emacgee (1136), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Oct 12, 2008 Thanks brent. Pours a copper amber with a thin frothy light yellow head. Looks kind of still. The nose was a little grassy, some spicyness, some citrus, earthy, sweet bready malt, smells a little less than fresh. The flavor is spicy, grassy, kind of dry, sweet bready malty, alcohol shows. The mouthfeel is dry and a little biting. Pretty good pale ale. wheelz843 (38), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA Oct 6, 2008 bottle. very citrusy fruity aroma. nice amber color with decent white head. has a bit of a metallic taste with a decent finish.
