Aroma is spice, ginger snaps, sugar, Christmas tree, and nutmeg. Flavor is same with lots of spiciness throughout. Interesting and spicy for Christmas, but not my favorite. kiefdog (1645), Tampa, Florida, USA

Aroma is malt, sugar, spice, nutmeg, cinnamon and some pumpkin notes. Flavor is malty and pumpkiny with notes of spice, caramel, nutmeg and cinnamon. Generally medium body with spice on the finish. Reminded me more of a pumpkin beer than a christmas ale. Palidor19 (1798), Brandon, Florida, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 18, 2008 The aroma is malty and almost fruit like but has a hint of honey and mixed spices. The appearance is amber with an average head. The flavor is like the aroma and not that pleasant but not that bad. The palate is smooth but thin. Overall not as special as I wanted. Thank you Depak. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 17, 2008 Appearance: Dark translucent red. A faint gathering at suds at the top, almost no head.
Aroma: Cherry pie filling, cinnamon sticks
Taste: Tastes like Christmas. Lots of cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, all spice, ginger. Finishes with a moderate hop spice note.
Mouthfeel: On the thin side. Very smooth.
Overall: Too bad this isnt easier to get. This gives Anchor Christmas a run for its money, as for a beer that screams Christmas Beer! MoDog (927), Griffith, Indiana, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 17, 2008 Poured from a 12oz bottle (Best By 12/16/08) and served in a pint glass. This beer poured a beautiful, clear dark copper hue with a thin head of beige foam that displayed some decent retention. Some light lacing was left around the glass. The aroma consisted of caramel, honey, allspice, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Not overly spiced...the rich malts still shine through nicely. The flavor started off with a solid base of creamy caramel, followed by pie spices, and a very mellow honey note. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied and had minimal carbonation. Rich, malty, and drinkable. A great holiday beer. noncaloric (629), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 15, 2008 Spices on the aroma, chiefly cinnamon, earthy tail. Pours a clear effervescent auburn. The white head is thin, but never goes away and leaves a nice lacing. Dusty cinnamon on the front, the honey sweetness is nicely complemented by the ginger heat on the mid-palate, and then some nutty brown malts on the finish. Somehow dry on the mouthfeel despite the sweets. An enjoyable spiced beer. BOLTZ7555 (1121), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
