| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 13, 2009 Appearance: Pours out a crystal clear, copper body with a smallish, white head.
Smell: Basic pale malts paired with a fragrant, fruity blend of fresh melon, pine, and an assortment of various citruses.
Taste: Starts with a modest pale maltiness and light, standard sweetness that is, perhaps, a bit simple, but it gives a good white canvas over which to exhibit a range of hop flavors - a drop of melon juice, a drizzle of pine resin, and a platter of sweaty, pithy citrus rinds. Medium-high bitterness. Further hints of grain return for the dry, bitter finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: An enjoyable, quality India Pale Ale charged with plenty of hop bitterness but, thankfully, refrains from being overbearing. shawn14505 (34), Rochester, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 6, 2009 This beer is middle of the road as far as IPA’a go. It has the standard hop smell and taste, but there is some kind of weird earthy notes to this beer. It’s not a bad taste, just different from what you would expect. Good alcohol content, this borders on an imperial IPA. I can recommend this beer, just be warned that this is no Stone IPA. It’s... weird. MrRain (428), O’Fallon, Illinois, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 4, 2009 12oz bottle poured into an English pint. GLCPIPA pours brass-colored with a large fluffy head that leaves thick heavy lacing. This is a great looking beer. The aroma is very typical of an IPA with the exception that the hop resin smell is lighter than usual. There is also a light lilac aroma. The flavor is nice and dry with a refreshing hop billet that isn’t too intense yet is strong enough to be enjoyable. All in all this is a medium-to-good IPA. milljam (569), Norman, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 31, 2009 Pours a golden orange with a bit of haze. Aroma of grapefruit and pine. Flavor has hints of citrus, pine, resin, and some herbal notes. Not too sweet. Good mouthfeel. Fairly dry and bitter finish. A good session IPA. icculus801 (24), New Orleans, Louisiana, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jan 29, 2009 Very clear with a big white head. Leaves great lacing on the glass. Almost a biscuit flavor, but then the hops kick in on the end. Feels rich and smooth on the tongue. Not your typical IPA, but a great offering from GLBC nonetheless. HopDuvel99 (39), Tennessee, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 26, 2009 Cloudy amber with a small, off-white head. Intense fruity/hoppy bouquet. Full body, foamy mouthfeel. Sweet/malty at first, then hoppy/bitter, with a bitter finish. Great fresh, hoppy flavor. A very good IPA. mnovacanes (49), Munster, Indiana, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 25, 2009 Updated: Apr 9, 2009Appearance: Very clear; Big, off-white head with a frothy, big-bubbled appearance; richer golden color compared to other IPA’s
Aroma: More of a toasty, baked aroma compared to other IPA’s; almost coffee and cooked butter aroma
Flavor: A lot of the same aromas come through on the flavor profile; fuller, richer taste; different than most other IPA’s but somehow still very attractive

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 24, 2009 Bottle. Pours an almost orange amber color. Not much of an aroma. Has a fair amount of lacing. A little bit of citrus. All in all, a quality IPA that’s worth trying.
