Oct 26, 2009 (Bottle, Monk’s Café, Wallingatan, Stockholm) Golden amber colour with frothy, beige head. Fruity, hoppy nose with orange, apricots and grainy malt. Fruity, malty taste with notes of orange peel, grapefruit and generous doses of earthy, citrussy hops in the finish. More than medium body with a solid malt foundation and some sweetness throughout. Very nice IPA with a good balance between hops and malt.

Oct 25, 2009 Bottle. Pours a nice crisp, clear amber color with a perfect head. Tangy and earthy hops dominate, and there could be more balance to this. It lacks a good backbone and is disappointingly thin, but I still enjoyed it. (#3709, 10/24/2009)

Oct 22, 2009 Bottle Pours out a copper topped with a cream head. Aroma was of sweet caramel, citrus hops and rich malts. Taste a nice balance of the rich malts and citrus hops. A little bread/toast note as well.

Aroma: Nice balanced citrus/pine and caramel nose
Appearance: Clearish golden color, nice amount of lace
Flavor: A nice balanced IPA flavor as well
Palate: Smooth and drinkable, medium body
Overall Impression:
This is a pretty tasty balanced IPA, nice flavors and drinks really nicely. I liked this one.

Oct 8, 2009 Bottle. Maltier, weaker aroma than I’d expect in an IPA. The taste is quite sweet, but very, very bitter. Green, vegetal. This beer grows on me, though I get nothing more out of the aroma as it warms. Interesting, little bit of a voyage. Interesting to see a range of ratings on the aroma. I like this beer more than a 2.9, but I don’t want to start manufacturing my ratings, so there it is.

Oct 7, 2009 12oz bottle. crisp, clear golden color, lasting fluffy white head. aroma is a little confusing, spices, citrus? taste of sweet caramel malt with a hop bite running thru. finish of sweetness with a lasting touch of bitterness

Oct 4, 2009 Aroma is a bit creamy, muddled, slightly hoppy, not very clean... Flavor profile follows suit, creaminess in an ipa is a turnoff for me, clean crisp flavors or else in my book.. Warming, alcohol is masked, but you can feel it... Average...

Oct 1, 2009 Draft at GABF. Orangish-amber with a large lasting white head and decent lacing. Aroma is caramel and rough citrusy and earthy hops. Flavor is caramel malt, toffee, and bitter earthy hops, with a little bit of citrus and light fruit. A tiny hint of pine as well. Palate is smooth with medium body and a long finish. This is somewhat of a hybrid between an American and English IPA it seems.
