Very nice hops on the nose and flavor. Some citrus and floral notes to boot. Crisp, a little bitter, light-medium body. Refreshing, and a very strong IPA from Great Lakes. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 11, 2009 Bottle. A nice light golden color pour with a thin lasting white head , jagged clumps of lacing left , medium carbonation .Aroma is lightly toasted grain , green hop leaf , slightly piny and floral. Flavor is reainous up front , floral , and piny , mild hints of citrus , clean toasted malt . Mildly bitter for an IPA but just right for balance here , clean hoppy finish ,slightly fruity . Medium body , clean crisp mouthfeel , very drinkable , a quality IPA from GLB they never seem to disappoint . popephred (193), Plainfield, Illinois, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 9, 2009 Poured from the bottle. Pour produced a golden amber body with a large head of off-white foam with decent lacing. Aroma had strong floral and citrus notes, with moderate hops. Flavor was bitter (as expected), and the body was smooth and medium, with a slight sweet finish. This had a decent hops profile but certainly not on the level of an IPA. It’s a good ale, one that I would drink again. LtDan (506), LA - Originally from South NJ!, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 9, 2009 Appearance: Pours a clear yet yeasty amber gold with a decent, 1/4 inch of dense off white foam.
Aroma: Light, equal amounts of citrus, grass, melon, and honey.
Taste: Sweet caramel malt and brown sugar notes to start it off. Citrus (lemon and orange) and melon and a very modest level of bitterness in the finish that is almost trumped by the malt bill. A bit of bitterness lingers, which I am grateful for, as this beer would otherwise be on the sweet side.
Mouthfeel: Medium to full bodied. Border-lining on sticky.
Overall: Solid, can’t say anything bad about it. Might be better suited in the Pale Ale bucket rather than the IPA one. cooncat (1), USA does not count | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 8, 2009 Well balanced IPA, with maltiness balanced by citrus hops, and a hint of a white pepper bite. Refreshing and very drinkable. italianjohn (361), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 4, 2009 Dark amber/light copper pour very little white head ... citrus aroma not overly hoppy more on the citrusy side. Has a nice dry hop and ends with a spicy tart flavor.
