Tilley4 (218), Huron, Tennessee, USA Mar 16, 2008 Picked this one up a few days ago on a beer run...
Pours a beautiful clear amber color with a tremendous fluffy white head that laces the heck out of the glass..
Aroma of some malt and a faint hoppiness... slightly piney and a bit of citrus as well..
Very smooth taste of faint hops and sweet malts... nice bitterness on the finish that makes this nice...
Another good Great Lakes brew...
Narnad (182), Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA Jan 7, 2009 Pours a very clear orange-yellow color, with a thing frothy white head. Aroma is pretty bitter with a lot of pine hops aromas and a great malty bite. Flavor was hits strong at first of a very strong pine bitterness, some citrus notes but pretty faint, ending in a lotwith an almost Maris Otter malty bite at the end. Mouth feel is perfect for this beer with a moderate to high carbonation to boot. Overall, a great pine aroma combined with a solid malty bite make this beer one to respect from a very dependable brewery! noncaloric (247), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Jan 7, 2009 Hazy orange-gold pour, small fading white head. The aroma is grapefruit hops and caramel, but faint. Flavor is similar, but better developed. Initially the alcohol content came off as medicinal, but this mellowed out and the last two thirds of the glass was well harmonized. Medium bodied with a nice hops burn. bigbuildinze (3), Porter, Indiana, USA does not count Jan 6, 2009 2 bottles consumed over a chicken philly sub. great frothy head and appearance. hops were right, malt was a little overboard for my palate. the bitter yet syrupy aftertaste was a little icky- didn’t want a third but I’d try it on draft. Hoppy nose with loads of orange, deep golden, small white head. Taste is bold orange, again lots of malt. Medium almost full bodied, beautifully balanced, sweet, yet pleasantly bitter. Great example. Thank You Radek Kliber. Radek Kliber (3433), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Dec 11, 2008 Bottle 355 ml,
