I am not a fan of irish ales so this one caugt me off guard. Starts with a light citrusy aroma and has a light colour. Taste is hoppier than other Irish ales which is a plus. Finish is clean and crisp. Well done tupalev (2617), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

Nice dark yellow, small orange head. Bready, tea like aroma - some hops. Nice taste - lots of malt and light hops. Would be a regular local session ale for me in the area. Nice Irish ale, add this to my small list of beers with Irish names that are actually good! (Loved the label and story on the bottle btw). LilKem (1210), Marietta, Ohio, USA

Pours a clear amber-orange with a spare diminishing off-white head. Aroma and flavour of caramel malt and not much else -- a hint of yeast, fruit and hops in there. It’s good but I like more hops and less caramel in my Ales. YourDarkLord (1800), Urbana, Illinois, USA

Amber-orange with a decent off-white diminishing head. Aroma of orange pekoe tea, light roast malt, dry floral hops, lightly sweet. Taste of wheat, sweet light roast malt, dry floral hops and tea again - pleasant. Soft average body, dry, lightly astringent mouthfeel, quick finish, very nice. zsb19 (62), Villa Hills, Kentucky, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 17, 2006 Dark copper colored body with a slightly off white head. The aroma is apple cider with some toasted bread and a hint of peanuts. There is a note of Cheerios cereal. The taste is like fall leaves with some old apples. There is some corn cob and a little bit of metal in the aftertaste. A decent Irish Ale.
