| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 18, 2008 A deliciously refreshing beer that I’ve long dug. Very pure golden color with a lasting effervescence and a decent head too. Crisp hops in the aroma, with enough flavorful malts to balance. Not too bready, thankfully, with citrus and honey balancing things. Nice one. TomDecapolis (3188), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 17, 2008 Bottle. Pours a translucent copper with a bunch of golden notes and a medium bubbly/creamy off white head that laced. Aroma of a nice bready, lightly sweet malt, noble hops, lightly spicy hop notes, and a touch of citrus. Flavor of the same breast/lightly sweet malt, touch of toasted grains, lemon and a nice amount of noble hop flavor. Very well done. timsilvia32 (447), from Michigan now in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 16, 2008 Poured a dark gold. Spicey sweet aroma. Light medium body, doughy, the hop character is what makes this one worth while. It’s not often I enjoy a lager, this one is pretty good. Other lager producers should try and copy. wxman (587), O’Fallon, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 13, 2008 Pours a bright deep golden color with a substatial thick white head. Sweet malt, maple and spice aroma. Rich caramely sweet toasted malt flavor with some hop grassiness and mild bitterness. Excellent, but not entirely Dort-like. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jul 10, 2008 Thanks to Crizay for this nice lager. Pours gold to an almost orange color with a moderate white head fading to a nice ring. Aroma is definitely grassy, but it’s more than that. There’s a slight citrus rind to it, but the grainy smell is so direct, it’s like I can smell the handful of grain right there. It’s like rye bread crust. Taste has the pungent grassy and earth flavor of a pilsner combined with the real subtle toasty toffee note of an O-fest (kinda like how the label says), and it finishes with a fairly distinct caramel flavor. Buttered toast finishes it out with that rye breadcrust flavor providing a nice aftertaste. Mouthfeel is light and drinkable but it’s as involved and smooth as you can possibly get in the style. Great lager here. Have this as the first beer of the night to be sure you notice it all. AllAboutStout (605), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

Pours a light gold in color with just a slight head forming on the pour. It’s quickly gone after receiving my beer. Smell is very "lagerish", but surprisingly with some nice piney hops. Taste is more of those nice hops. I’m not a big lager fan, but the hop flavor in this one really let me enjoy this beer. Clean and smooth on the taste. Good beer. drewbeerme (2285), Chicago, Illinois, USA
