Not particularly a fan of the lagers including dortmunders but this beer is consistently delicious. Great full body with a nnice malty flavor balanced out beautifully by a noticeable hop presence. Great beer with food. ontheroad (25), Buffalo, New York, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 28, 2008 Bottle. Brilliant gold color wioth a nice white head that stayed a while. Pretty good hop aroma slightly overshadowing the malt aroma. Clean, crisp flavor of malt just slightly overshadowed by the hop bitterness and flavor. Good mouthfeel; not too heavy but, not too thin either. Very drinkable. A very tasty lager. GMUcrew7 (377), Mason, Ohio, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 28, 2008 Pours golden color with nice frothy white head. Has a nice crisp malty aroma. Nice malt based flavor with some very nice notes of fruit and honey, eventually fading into a light hop bitterness that balances out this great beer. By far the best beer I’ve had in this style. agillespie81 (206), Denver, Colorado, USA

Solid malt flavor up front......somewhat of a crisp mouthfeel. Slight hop bitterness in the back, with a very dry finish. Maddog (255), Kettering, Ohio, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 21, 2008 I don’t usually make a habit of drinking light lagers, but being that this is Great Lakes, I do tend to have one periodically. This beer, when fresh, is a session drinker’s dream. Light, crisp, with a very flavorful, malty body, Dortmunder finishes clean with a nice hop presence. This beer is comparable to Sam Adams Boston Lager, and the both of them, when fresh can hang with me anytime. madcow75 (425), Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Jun 16, 2008 Bottle. Pours clear gold, medium white head with good lacing. Aroma of wheat, some spice, and something sweet that I can’t put my finger on. Taste is malty, nice and crisp, slight hint of bitterness. Really easy drinking, I could down a 6 in no time. Great summer brew. Good stuff.
