| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 9, 2008 Pours dark gold with a small white head. Subtle hint of lemon in the aroma hits me first followed my caramel, some toasted nuts, and slightly doughy. Peppery, chewy malt flavors with a slight roast character and a hint of lemon. There’s a little bit of noble hop spice and bitterness that lingers on the tongue after you swallow. Quite a bit of body for a lager and just the right amount of carbonation to give a crisp finish. This is almost the perfect session beer for me. toddkrem (78), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 5, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Poured clear orangish gold with white head that left substantial lacing. Weak nose with only a trace of bread and yeast evident. Malty with a dry, slightly bitter finish. Crisp and easy drinking. Surprised to see the 5.8% ABV. Nice offering; difficult for me to rate higher given the style’s lack of hops and flavor. AmazonMatt (285), Panama
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Dec 27, 2007 Decent. Pours a golden-orange color with nice lacing that lingers. The aroma and flavor is much more flowery and fresh than typical lagers. Good, but not my favorite beer of the night by a long shot. blankboy (3204), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 24, 2007 Bottle. Pours a clear bubbly golden-orange with an average size lasting fluffy white head. Aroma’s grassy with a bit of tomato juice, some fruit, yeast and light hops. Somewhat sweet flavour has just a hint of tomato juice along with some sweet fruit, grain, light malt and hops. Average bitter finish. Alcohol’s hidden. Medium bodied. I’m not crazy about this beer, I can drink it and it’s reasonably well done but I find it just alright. theisti (1664), Leawood, Kansas, USA

Pour is a clear golden with some orangish under tones. Nice two inch white head. Aroma of sweet malt and some bitterness. Taste is the nice mellow caramel sweet maltiness, with some almost roasted almond nuttiness and bitterness towards the end. Nice crisp finish, drinkable beer. Thanks Santa! | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 14, 2007 Thin off-white head of fine bubbles. Reduces quickly. kind of a sickly vegetal aroma with some malts and for whatever strange reason, i am getting apple pie. Color is a nice dark orange. Clean and crisp flavor with a good bit of floral hops. Light bready malts and a late dryness. Slightly pasty but does not really detract. Very smooth and easy drinking. Finishes light malts and sweetness. A pretty good dortmunder. switzer (22), USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 6, 2007 An amazing dortmunder. Great balance between hops and malt. Has a bit of a breadlike flavor but also contains a nice flowery bouquet of hops that seems content in taking a backseat role. A great session beer for someone wanting to expand their horizons.
