Sep 10, 2009 Pours a crystal clear medium golden with a fizzy body and a light white foam head. Light to medium aromas of hops and caramel malts with a touch of grain. Flava is of light distinctive hops more on the pine side with a lighter balance of caramel and a touch of grain. Slight bitter end. An average helles.

Sep 4, 2009 Bottle. This just didn’t do anything for me. Aroma was very light. Pour was nice and golden. Flavor was grassy hops and a touch of citrus. Palate was ok pretty smooth. Overall okay just don’t know that I’ll have another.

Aug 28, 2009 Bottle. Rich golden to amber color--lovely. Nicely hoppy aroma: a bit of citrus on clean, rich, malt. Great aroma hops in the flavor, with citrus fruitiness on top of light yet rich malt, and a good bitter finish. Excellent flavor and balance, with great hops for the style without being over the top on anything. One of the best bottled lagers I’ve tasted, well deserving of its praise.

Aug 27, 2009 A very clear but very rich golden color, served into a tall seidel glass. Tall foam of pimply head. Specks of lace.
Has a somewhat funky lagery aroma. Some bitter, earthy German lager malts. Not that appealing; funky and adjuncty.
The malts are a combination of some sweet honey and just a hint of butterscotch, and bitter German lager malts.
The feel is smooth like honey, and buttery like an ale. Actually a nice save here. The taste is a little funky, a little too "lagery" for me. Not bad, just not great.
