Poured a watered down clear honey into a pint glass with a ring of barely there white head. Understated piney hops, tastes like a boozier/heartier Keystone but maybe that’s the pale malts talking and I’m too stupid to tell the difference. No aftertaste and very little carbonation. Don’t think this style is for me. Avengedpoet (325), Mesa, Arizona, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 7, 2009 From a bottle. Pours a golden color. Aroma of rich pilsner malt and noble hops, some minor corniness. Taste is very smooth and balanced. A nice malty backbone supports the firm bitterness from the hops. A surprisingly good beer that I was not expecting to enjoy and yet did quite a bit. Definitely not one that I would kick out of bed. vikingbeercbus (34), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 24, 2009 Bottle 12 oz. Pours medium golden with a thin head. Light nose. Not overwhelmingly on any point, slightly sweet. Smooth palate. A solid, very drinkable beer. deyholla (737), Bloomington, Indiana, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 23, 2009 Tap. Poured a dark golden with not much of a head. Flavor was underwhelming, malts and a touch of hops. Flavor has a bit of sweetness of the caramel variety to complement the hops and malts. Very good for style, but not my favorite style. michfan00 (10), Chagrin Falls, Ohio, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 17, 2009 Bottle into imperial pint glass. Pours a crystal clear amber color with a great creamy off-white head that holds and laces beautifully. Aroma is nice and soft - some bisquity malt, some hops, some pale malt, and some light sweet fruit. The flavor is similar with a bit more emphasis on the fruitiness. Everything is subtle but very well balanced between the hops, biscuit malt, and fruitiness. Medium bodied with a nice texture on the palate. Overall: this is much better than I was expecting (bot sure why I wasn’t expecting much, but it is nice stuff). Very sessionable, very drinkable, very balanced. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 7, 2009 12 oz bottle from kryptic - thanks! Clear gold with a nice white head. Malty nose with floral notes. Bready flavors, floral accents, comes off sweet but dry. Very drinkable, it left me wanting another. bboeckl (135), Grafton, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jun 2, 2009 Poured a golden yellow. Taste was of hop bitterness, malt, slight bit of lemon. Bit of a grassy taste but not quite piny. Slight floral aroma as well, similar to an IPA but much less intense. This beer walks a fine line between, pilsner, IPA and helles lager. Very drinkable.
