Bit of a grassy taste but not quite piny. Slight floral aroma as well, similar to an IPA but much less intense. This beer walks a fine line between, pilsner, IPA and helles lager. Very drinkable.

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Dec 13, 2009 Light amber body with a decent, white head. Interesting lacing. The aroma is quite bready, yeasty even. Good carbonation, and the general mouth-feel is about medium in weight with the malt sweetness overpowering the hop finish. Overall, this is a very nice beer, and I have a feeling it would pair nicely with a number of different foods. satan165 (609), River Grove, Illinois, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 11, 2009 aroma is lightly floral hops and slightly unattractive grainy malt bill. body is perfectly translucent bordering on orange. flavor is nicely toasted malt that makes no reference to the aroma with a slightly bitter end that provides excellent balance. palate is medium with a slight towards wet. tastybeer (127), Washington DC, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 3, 2009 On draft in Cleveland, OH. Pours light amber with decent helping of head that quickly dissipates. First time trying this style. Flavor is sweet and floral with grass. Has a funny taste that I’ve noticed with most Great Lakes beers, I think it is the water they use (the crystal clear water of Lake Erie?). kiefdog (1635), Tampa, Florida, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 28, 2009 Amber pour from a 12 oz bottle. One fat finger of head that soon dissapates. Not much to the aroma, though what is there is clean and fresh. Very tasty - flavor dominated by malt but punctuated with decent hoppiness that smacks the back of the tongue. Satisfying mouthfeel with active carbonation. Good stuff! inkubus27 (252), Highland, Indiana, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 22, 2009 Pours copper to amber color... Aroma is sweet and malty, nothing hoppy here. Flavor is carmelly with some biscuit and sweet malt. Nice medium light mouthfeel. Just enough hopping to provide some balance. nickd717 (1389), Palo Alto, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 12, 2009 Updated: Nov 23, 2009Bottle via trade. This beer is great for the style, an amazing light-colored lager. Pours a bright clear golden color with a small white head that leaves a foamy ring around the glass. Aroma is grassy and floral hops, pale malt, and grain. Flavor is grainy yet very pleasant with pale bready malt, great grassy and fruity hops, and a little butter. Flavor really jumps out. Excellent palate, medium-light in body with a hoppy kick lasting on the palate. Crisp and dry. Great Dortmunder lager overall. jcos (57), Maryland, USA

Aroma is slightly sweet - rather pleasant actually.
Appearance is a decent brown. Lightly sweet, lightly bitter flavor. Average carbonation.
A good lager beer.
