Draft - Excellent porter with lots of malt and mild bitterness. This porter was excellent with lots of choc and cream coffee flavor. Really well done

The legend lives on... This was a great beer! Nice and dark with a great maltynose with some chococoffee going on. Nice tan head that lingered. Nice balanced mouthfeel with a nutty taste going on followed by a cocoa-coffee thing. Bittering was great, wonderful finish.

pours an almost opaque dark brown with wonderful red tints and a creamy brown head...aroma of chocolate and coffee with hints of malty sweetness. wonderfully complex flavor starting with a sweet chocolate, giving way to robust coffee flavors, balanced by a perfect amount of bitterness, smooth medium body...what a wonderful beer. very happy with my purchase!!!

Brewed in the USA !!! Courtesy of AFI96, thanks waylo. Pours a very dark brown / garnet color with a small tan head. Aroma of cocoa, caramel, and malts. Taste is of chocolate, brown sugar, and coffee. The mouthfeel is dry and well balanced, but i must say it’s not quite what i expected.

Bottle thanks to Daniel. I’ve been waiting for this beer for some time! Pours a dark black with lots of ruby colors coming through when light shines in. A medium light brown head. The aroma is very nice; tons of chocolates, roasted malt, and loads of milk coffee. A very nice flavor; lots of sweet and rich roasted malts, some nutty aspects, light milk coffee and chocolates, and all of it is well balanced by a smooth hop finish. A creamy and full mouthfeel. Excellent.

12oz bottle shared with BeerGestapo. Brown pour with garnet edges, topped by a small khaki head. Smells of cocoa, earth, and caramel. Tastes of dark chocolate, cocoa, earth, and coffee. Finishes fairly dry with lingering coffee flavors. It was alright but I expected better from this brewery.

RATING 600. (12 oz. bottle served in pint glass on Nov. 10, 2008- 33 years to the day she sank in Lake Superior) First off, thank you for trading this to me RCL, and for not putting me on about the "rarity" of it unlike someone else here that I tried to get it from originally. Again, thank you RCL. Poured blacker than that late autumn night about to being hit with the 3 sisters, a woven like 2 finger tan head formed and laced. Aroma of nicely roasted malts and dark chocolate. Hits the mouth with wide and rich body, malt covers the entire palate nicely, many chocolate notes everywhere, finish begs for another sip. A brew worthy of it’s name.
