12oz bottle from my Secret Santa. Pours opaque brown, nearing pitch black with a creamy, lasting khaki head. Pleasant porter aroma: roasted malt, wet wood, light coffee, semisweet chocolate and a curious hint of green apples. medium bodied on the tongue, but quite creamy with nice fizzy carbonation. The roasted malt and hops are balanced nicely. Nice, but not overpowering coffee and dark chocolate notes interweave with grassy and earthy hops. Quite a nice porter.

Very large 2+ inch high tan head of fine creamy bubbles. Light carbonation. Rich milk chocolate aroma with lots of roasted grains, a hint of coffee and a bit of licorice. Color is a very dark brown boardering on black. Dark roasted grain, more coffee and carbon. Bitter dark chocolate. Medium bodied, dry and slightly bitter palate. Long roasty flavor and finish. Lingering bitterness and some coffee. A very good porter.

Pours brown-black with about 2 fingers of tan-cream head. Roasted malt and hazelnut odor. A hint of dark chocolate- starts off smooth, and ends up with a coffee and burnt toast aftertaste. Quite good.

Black color. Persistent thin layer of foam. Some aroma of roasted malt and ashes, burnt paper, light rhubarb. Smooth mouthfeel, with a good flavor of caramel, dark chocolate and delicate roasted malt; quite sweet. Good.
