Nice malty, coffee, chocolate aroma. Very aromatic. Poured a nice brown.
Nice tan-brown foamy head, that quickly receded into a foamy thin cap, left nice lacing. A very nice malty, chocolate, coffee flavor that starts out medium sweet then changes into a plesantly medium burnt bitter taste with hints of dark chocolate. Neither is overpowering, but pleasant and strong enough to make you want more. A really nice balance. Full Bodied, thick creamy texture, medium soft carbonation, a plesant medium bitter smoky finish. I enjoyed this Porter quite a bit. Will definitely buy again. :)

Oct 7, 2008 Pours a dark brown/black that shows some light. One finger frothy tan head. The nose is malty, earthy bready malts, coffee, sweet, molasses, . The flavor is bitter coffee, bakers chocolate, waxy hop bitterness, molasses, rich. The palate is bitter and roasty. Very tasty and rich porter.

Oct 7, 2008 Very similar to Bell’s Porter but this brew has a creamier mouthfeel and a more bitter finish and because of that, I like it better.

Oct 6, 2008 Draft @ Capones: Poured a dark dark brown with not much head. The aroma was chocolate roasted malt. The flavor was chocolate, nutty, sweet and malty. Delicious! Overall and excellent Porter.

Oct 5, 2008 Pours deep brown with a small head. Aroma of roasted malts and chocolate. Very fizzy almost coke like in taste. A little thin with toasted malt and chocolate in the taste. Dry finish. Wasn’t expecting the carbonation, which was th eonly downside to this one.
