lordsummerisle (17), New York, USA Jul 2, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Pours copper with thin off-white head. Aroma is malty with pine notes and slight alcohol. Taste is sweet caramel malt and nuts with a nice hop finish. Extremely well balanced. A little too dry in the finish perhaps. Still, this might be the best dark lager I’ve ever had--admittedly I’m not usually an aficionado of the style. Very good, worth seeking out. Onslow (117), Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA Jul 1, 2009 Dark amber pour from a 12oz bottle. Two fingers of off whit ehead that collapses with lacing down the sides of the glass. Malty aroma with gentle hops and slight ethanol overtone. Overall tasty beer - sweet malt at the start with a hoppy bite at the finish, well balanced. A litttle on the sweet side but not in a bad way. Bigmmartin (271), Dayton, Ohio, USA Jun 25, 2009 I don’t even know what the hell a Vienna is. I just consider this an Amber Lager.... which I guess is apparently a Vienna. Hmm...ok interesting. Anyways, I only drink this on tap at the Sports Deck in Kettering because it’s the best beer they have available. It has a nice deep amber color and decent aroma. Flavor is mild to moderate sweet and malty. Some caramel. Crisp finish. Pipper (113), Ohio, USA Jun 23, 2009 Bottle at a restaurant, no glass. Aroma is hoppy and grassy with maltier bud lite flavor and some carbonation. Finishes dry and forgetable. Find this boring maybe I just don’t like the style. BeerGestapo (587), Windsor, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 15, 2009 Brewed in the USA....... Courtesy of The Capt, thanks Mark !! Pours a copper color with a medium foamy head. Aroma is of caramel, sweet malts and toffee. Taste of biscuits, nuts and caramel . This Vienna style is clean, sweet and very enjoyable !!! Blaze312 (87), Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA May 31, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours a brownish red color. with medium off white head. Aroma of caramelized malt. Taste sweet, and somewhat reminds me of an oriental taste. 1010 (178), Marysville, Ohio, USA May 30, 2009 pours an amber red with a sweet malty taste. Really a great vienna.
