punkrkr27 (608), Berkley, Michigan, USA Oct 22, 2008 Orange-copper pour with a thin straw colored lace and little head. Big earthy biscuit malt aroma with a hint of molasses, honey, cinnamon, and some ale yeast fruitiness that I can’t quite place. Lots and lots of chewy bread, dough, biscuit, and caramel malt flavors with some fresh fruit and spicy hops on the finish. Solid medium body with plentiful carbonation and a crisp finish. A very tasty and complex, almost ale like lager. Rciesla (3510), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA Oct 22, 2008 Bottle. Pours an amber body, sweet and malty. Light hoppiness, caramel malt bready with a touch of nuttyness. A solid lager! afireinside96 (817), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 21, 2008 12oz bottle served in a lager glass. Beautiful sunset amber body topped by nearly two inches of lasting off-white head. The nose is very balanced with some nice malt sweetness and spicy hops struggling for dominance. Flavors of bread, toffee, nuts, and grass. Hops win the battle at the finish though not by much. Superb balance throughout. An excellent, well crafted lager.
