kosko20 (302), Bemidji, Minnesota, USA Oct 7, 2008 Clear ruby red with nice thick off white head. Aroma is sweet malts with nice citrus hops. Flavor is the same but more sweet. Finishes clean. flatmatt (221), Northville, Michigan, USA Oct 5, 2008 12 oz bottle, about 1.5 weeks past its best by date. Pours clear amber with a small white head. Malty biscuit aroma, slightly sweet honey. Sweet honey biscuit flavor with a touch of hops. Honey mostly gives way to more biscuit after a few sips. This is a good, flavorful lager. Beershine (2677), Hue, Vietnam Oct 2, 2008 Draught @ Cole’s. Clear amber with thick off-white head. Bright hoppy aroma over a bready body. Quaffable with medium carbonation. Nice bready character. Crisp fruity nose. Taste begins with bitters with a sweet fruity finish. Enjoy this one with a pizza. Very good. BeerBaron617 (306), Novi, Michigan, USA Sep 20, 2008 Had this in the bottle at Gracie’s underground in Ferndale, MI. I got this beer because of it’s name, and not really knowing the style, but I figured that any beer named after the man responsible for prohiibition was worth a shot. It pours a hazy amber, with a good head. The flavor was a little too bitter for me. It was quite malty, with some piney notes right on the finish. Not a bad beer, but nothing I would ever get again. taalhiker (179), Dayton, Ohio, USA Sep 9, 2008 From bottle. August Dayton Beer Tasting event - Favorite Summer Brews.
Pours a amber color with a decent off-white head. Very malty aroma with more hops than expected. Good mouthfeel with a lingering floral taste.
