Commercial Description:
Deep Amber red color, with a fragrant malt aroma. Flavorful notes of rich caramelized malt and noble hop flavors harmonize on the palate leading to a crisp clean finish. Named after one of Cleveland's most respected safety directors, who frequented the brewpub's bar during his tenure from 1935-1941 and, according to popular legend, was responsible for the bullet holes still evident today.

12oz bottle. Pours a clear, medium amber color with a reddish tint. Nose of toasted malt with some hops. Flavor carried hop bitterness with a very clean finish.

Getting notebook online. Bottle. Beautiful red amber with a creamy head. Crisp fruity nose. Taste begins with bitters with a sweet fruity finish. Enjoy this one with a pizza. Very good.

Had this in the bottle at Gracie’s underground in Ferndale, MI. I got this beer because of it’s name, and not really knowing the style, but I figured that any beer named after the man responsible for prohiibition was worth a shot. It pours a hazy amber, with a good head. The flavor was a little too bitter for me. It was quite malty, with some piney notes right on the finish. Not a bad beer, but nothing I would ever get again.

From bottle. August Dayton Beer Tasting event - Favorite Summer Brews. Pours a amber color with a decent off-white head. Very malty aroma with more hops than expected. Good mouthfeel with a lingering floral taste. A very good Vienna lager.......

Bottle. Pours pefectly celar amber with a thin off-white head. No lacing. Aroma is potently malty, rich with some evident hop notes. Some spicy hops on the tongue, bready malt and a nice lingering bitteness. Quite good for a Vienna! Full bodied.

typical amber pour, beige head. Nice malt profile, and just enough hops. Extremely well balanced, and i could drink this forever. One of the most balanced beers i have ever had, a true session beer.

Reminds me a lot of a Sam Adams... only slightly better. Pours a nice amber color with small head and decent lacing. Smell of hops and sweet malt are present. Mouth feel is quite heavy for a lager. Spicy and crisp hop finish with a bit of sweetness.

Pours a reddish amber color with a one-finger off-white head. Aroma is mostly malty, with some hops and sweetness in the offering. Spicy hoppyness is evident as it comes across the tongue. Medium mouthfeel with a lingering floral taste. Nice beer.
