Aug 3, 2008 12 oz bottle. Poured a deep ruby red color with a small off-white head. Aroma was very sweet malt. Taste was malty with an aftertaste that was a little off.

Jul 27, 2008 Pours brown in color with ruby brown highlights around the edges. Nice frothy inch of head forms on the pour. Smell is all malt and some sweetness. Very metallic/off flavor in the taste. Gets a bit cloying as well. First beer I’ve had from Great Lakes that has been subpar.

Jul 27, 2008 Bottle shared by aspidites, attractive clear, bright yet dark amber pour, but the rest was downhil. Very vegital in the nose, and it carried into the flavor.

Jul 27, 2008 (Sampled 7-14-08 at Brownings Brewery) Dark amber in color, tan head that laced. Faint aroma of malt. Hits the mouth with a medium body, malt comes in nicely, a turpentine bitterness appears in the middle and lasts well after the finish. Old keg? Up for a rerate down the line...

Jul 26, 2008 Cleveland, Oh - Progressive Field - Indians/Twins game - 12 oz bottle. Medium copper pour, thick khaki colored head, nice lace. Hint of chocolate in the aroma. Sweet flavor with hints of caramel, toffee and some cotton candy. Thickish mouthfeel. Pretty solid.
