esjaygee (1467), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Mar 30, 2008 Deep amber with thin off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt & light spice. Pretty much the same in the taste with a mild dry finish. Perhaps a little thin but overall pretty good. DandyWolfFloyd (331), Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 30, 2008 Very good. I think it’s nice to find a lager with character, and this is exactly that. It’s aroma is present with some hoppy notes. It’s appearance was a bit flat, but rather tempting still with its dark amber. It’s flavor a bit malty, a bit hoppy. It’s palate is exceptionally crisp and clean. Solid stuff. cgarvieuk (4159), Edinburgh, Scotland Mar 30, 2008 Bottle at Toms Glasgow tasting 2 ... Copper colour ... sweet yeasty nose ... yeasty fruity ... some malts ... bit dull nothing jum out but nothing offends demitriustown (689), Shelby Township, Michigan, USA Mar 27, 2008 12 oz bottle: Three words to describe Great Lakes Brewing "Consistently good beers" not all of them knock it out of the park, but a lot of them are damn good. Pours a clear amber color with a small sized carbonated tan head that lingers. Aroma is caramel, roasty notes, almost a grainy fresh sweet corn note (not the corn note for Bud and other) candy, and sweet. Taste is really nice rich caramel notes, nice lightly burnt notes, malt characteristic is very present. Palate is nicely carbonated, somewhat sweet on the lips, and tongue coating. Overall, This is darn good Vienna, Nice stuff. riversideAK (2648), Shoreline, Washington, USA Mar 26, 2008 Bottle from the Beerman6686. Nice amber color with a thin lasting head. Aroma is nice sweet toasted bread with a touch of fruity darker caramel malts. Flavor is sweet and toasted, a bit fruity with a super clean crisp finish. Not overly hoppy, just enough bitterness to clean the palate. Just plain well made and easy to drink. Shannon127 (15), USA Mar 24, 2008 Perfect color for style, nice head, good flavor. Much too hppy for a true Vienna Lager. The hops overpower the malt. Still a very good beer, just not great for the style. mixinnixon2000 (227), Chicago, Illinois, USA Mar 24, 2008 Bottle. amber color with small white head. easy to drink. not dull but also not too much flavor. nice tasting but not too special rob897 (62), Buffalo, New York, USA Mar 21, 2008 Nice amber pour with thin white head, great malt flavor with perfect hop balance.
