TheShat (131), Lakewood, Ohio, USA Jul 15, 2007 Bottle pours a nice brownish color with a frothy head. The glass laves nicely as a drink. There is a very sweet malty flavor to this one with a touch of toastyness and caramel. The finish is sweet and smooth, A tasty beer! mabel (2530), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jul 9, 2007 [381-20070630] Tap @ Great Lakes (Cleveland, OH). Faintly hoppy grains aroma. Clear, amber red body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Grainy flavour. Medium body is smooth. Relatively bland compared to its brothers on the table but is repeatable and hides the alcohol well. shotgun1431 (92), franklin furnace, Ohio, USA Jul 7, 2007 The color is amber with a red tint and It has a white head with a red tint. Smells of malt and a bit of hop. The flavor is similar to the aroma. The second Great Lake brew I’ve tried and both are very good. alexsdad06 (1056), Ohio, USA Jul 6, 2007 Bottle. Pours a dark amber color with a decent beige head. The aroma is caramel and toffee with some citrus and floral hops. The flavor is similar with the malts being ever so slightly more present than the hops. Overall this is pretty well balanced. Medium bodied with good carbonation. I believe this was my first Vienna. rowefam3 (70), kendallville, Indiana, USA Jul 3, 2007 Updated: Aug 20, 2007Smells really nice. Don’t uaually like this style but this was really enjoyable. Another well balanced beer from Great Lakes. kmweaver (2396), Sebastopol, California, USA Jun 23, 2007 12oz bottle, kmweaver-exclusive non-RBSG pity-party tasting 2007, courtesy of Monger. Thanks, James!! Pours a clear, medium amber color; whitish head with good retention and fine-bubbled lacing. Light, candy sugar and tea-like malts in the aroma. Medium mouthfeel: plenty of lightly toasted malts and candy sugar; slightly dry in the mouth (almost tea-like), with a pleasant, dense red ale character; hints of citrus and earthy notes. Lengthy, dry malty finish; lightly toasted (like me). chicagobears (336), Elk Grove Village, Illinois, USA Jun 22, 2007 A spritz reddish yellow with tan head. Aroma of toasted malt. A robust caramel flavor and mellow hop balance. This is a fantastically smooth Vienna. dpjuart (670), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 18, 2007 12 0z. bottle. Deep red color.
