jcr (1136), Jasper, Indiana, USA Dec 27, 2006 Dark amber pour with light tan head that quickly disappears. Nose is filled with sweet malts, caramel, toast, flowery hops, grain. Very sweet and only a hint of bitterness at the finish. Moderately acidic. Moderately long finish, too. Medium to full body, watery texture and fizzy carbonation. Well put together. Very good. 00cobraR (1096), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA Dec 26, 2006 Wow! Now this is a great brew. Pours out a deep amber color with a thick beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty and a bit fruity. Flavor is very much the same. I found it very difficult not to gulp this brew. Outstanding job! Ty5592 (1015), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 22, 2006 Bottle from bgburdman9. Amber color with small lacing type head. Malty/milky aroma. The taste was malty and nutty with clean roasted finish. Good brew. Rynoplasty (500), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Dec 15, 2006 Pours a bright amber with a one and a half finger head. Aroma is of malts and hops with some fruity tones. Taste is smooth and malty and the hops really shine through as well. One of my favorite lagers for a long time, definitely worth a try if you haven’t had one before. Trooper11 (464), Suffolk, Virginia, USA Dec 7, 2006 Color is pure copper. Light malty aroma. Dark fruit flavor. Bitter finish, kind of makes me pucker a bit but good. sersdf (1000), chicago, Illinois, USA Dec 7, 2006 clear and red. limited head. smells earthy, caramel-appleish. sweet malty aroma, kinda lagerish, which surprised me since i was expecting an amber ale. somewhat empty flavor. surprisingly carbonated. after a few sips i like the sorta lingering syrupy finish. a bit light on the flavor/palate overall, but i can appreciate this.
