Spiesy (2333), Global Citizen, Greater London, England Sep 17, 2006 <!-- i -->Draft, at The Map Room, Chicago.<!-- /I --><!-- br --> Deep walnut colour with a smooth malt/hop blend. Very drinkable. Great bar with first class hospitality, both in front of and behind the bar!! dirkules (613), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 17, 2006 Updated: Jul 4, 2007Sampled at Great Lakes. This one got sort of lost in the bunch at the great lakes samplefest. Got to see the bullet holes on the tour by the by... anyway, the beer pours a nice dark amber. Spicy raisin hops and dark fruit on the palate. Moderately thorough roasted malts and some lighter dry malts thrown in. A smooth brew that I will need to redrink. gputty (456), Virgina Beach, Virginia, USA Sep 16, 2006 From bottle. Dark amber pour with tan head. Nose of caramel malts, spicy hops and raisin underneath. Flavor follows with some light fruits as well. Nice. cewldre (268), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Sep 12, 2006 Bottle: Pours amber in color. Smells of caramel and some dark fruits. Taste was a bit nutty with caramel hints. Lightly carbonated. Ungstrup (14757), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 10, 2006 An amber beer with a disappearing orange head. The aroma is sweet and very fruity combined with notes of caramel, and a touch of alcohol. The flavor has primary notes of caramel, and a dry mouthfeel that starts quite early, and leads to a bitter hoppy end. theshocker (329), Marietta, Georgia, USA Sep 9, 2006 Brownish red. Large tan head fades at a medium pace and leaves a small lacing. Malt dominated the aroma, caramel, raisin, oak. Medium to full body, lightly carbonated. Big malty flavor with very little hop presence. Low bitterness. Clean finish. I think this is the highest rated vienna, but for my money Brooklyn Lager blows this away. Papsoe (14642), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 6, 2006 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Clear amber golden with a small, off-white head. Fat aroma of caramel and aroma hops. Very full, sweetish body with lots of caramel and malt. Dry finish. Very pleasant. 290806
