Actually easier drinking than I was expecting, but more of a plus for this one. I really am not too much of a fan of the style, but this one is great, can’t wait to have again! Some bitterness on the palate, but also peach and apples and some sweetness. Very smooth and balanced. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 6, 2006 12 oz bottle: Medium copper w/ a lasting off white head. Heavy toasty malt aroma w/ some light caramel and the faintest hint of roast; clean! Well balanced, clean toasty malt flavor w/ a hint of caramel. Malt dominated flavor into the finish which is semi dry; aftertaste is a bit of bitterness, but again, clean. Fuller light body, medium carb., smooth. A good solid beer from GLBC. Flavorful enough to keep your attention and want more! bgburdman9 (823), Columbus, Ohio, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 2, 2006 Obtained via trade with Beeryum. Pours somewhat cloudy reddish brown with a medium beige head. Aroma of caramel, apple and slight roastiness. Flavor has notes of toasted malt, caramel, pear, dark fruit and noble hops. Pleasantly sweet, plenty of bitterness in there for great balance. Very full, round and creamy on the palate with lively carbonation. Very good. badnewsbeers (1026), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA
