Nov 8, 2005 Light mahogany with a foamy, off white head. Stringy lacing. Smells of dry hay, husky. Warm biscuits and a hint of spice and caramel. Bitter hops and caramel in the flavor. A touch of spicy sourness. Musky, dry finish that is malty and bitter.

Nov 1, 2005 brown pour with a creamy slightly yellow pour. malty brown sugar and roach clip(faint but there) nose. taste is straw, brachs rootbeer candy, a sticky brew. waffle cone finish. enough floral hop taste mixed in there to keep it level.

Oct 23, 2005 Dark amber with thick tan head. Brown sugar and caramel aroma. Full malt taste, a touch of hops and the full flavor delivers on the promise of the great nose. Loved it.

Oct 8, 2005 Updated: Oct 9, 2005this being my third Great Lakes brew, im really starting to get a feel for these guys, and im loving them. This would be second next to the Holy Moses. Even though the moses rated lower than this, I personally loved it. I had this in a bottle. little hops present in this, but smells slightly sweet with a subtle sugary caramel aroma. Flavor has a sweet finish, but has a deep malt palate, and a sticky finish, medium bodied, by the way, dark amber in color. Well balanced. I enjoyed this beer alot. I will make a second purchase in the future. I chose this over the Sam Smiths Oatmeal Stout, I think that I made a good choice. but we will see. I think these guys may be better than Bells, but hey, thats just my opinion, take or leave it. Either way they are making theirselves known immensely in the midwest.

Oct 8, 2005 Deep clear amber with a nice lasting head. Predominate malt aroma and flavor with notes of caramel. Delicately hopped. Well balanced and enjoyable.

Oct 6, 2005 I picked thisup in Morgantown WV while visiting my daughter in WVU. Amber in color with tan head. Slight hops aroma and flavor. slightly sweet and smooth. Very enjoyable.

Oct 2, 2005 Poured a dark brown, with the aroma of caramel corn. Sweet with a toasted malt back. A little light bodied, but it just works. A classic lager. Thanks to OhioDad for the great trade.
