radiomgb (1920), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada May 30, 2005 Bottle. Amber in colour with a beige coloured head. The aroma was malty ( lots of bread, caramel and cookies) with some citrus. The flavour was of cookie dough, roasted nuts, caramel. Smooth mouthfeel, medium body, medium carbonation. Finishes with a medium lingering bitterness. Quite enjoyable. guzzler67 (1272), Hanover, Maryland, USA May 29, 2005 Crimson colored with a small, off-white head. First whiff was a pleasant toasted malt aroma followed by some soft fruitiness. Smooth textured mouthfeel with moderate amount of carbonation. Earthiness in the finish. mrkimchee (1414), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 23, 2005 amber, beige head. toasty malt aroma with some caramel and mild orange. juicy malt flavour with more caramel and mild spiciness. whole wheat and earth flavour in the finish. nice. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA May 21, 2005 Pours copper with a decent offwhite head that laces a little. Mild citrus and mostly caramel malt aroma. The flavor is malty, some brown sugar notes and maple syrup. Very smooth on the palate and creamy. Quite a tasty brew and it leaves a very sweet doughy aftertase that made me want to get the next one out of the cooler. All viennas should be judged by this one. Delicious!! Indra (2018), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA May 20, 2005 Bottled. Soft, sweet, mildly fruity and malty aroma. Medium-dark copper-brown color, clear, with a slight, fading head. Flavor profile is mild and lightly sweet, some light brown sugar and gentle nutty breadiness mingling at the finish with some lightly spicy hop and lingering dark grainy sweetness. Smooth, lightly carbonated palate with a light-medium body. Highly drinkable and would make for an excellent session beer. At least, if I had more than the one bottle, it would. StewardofGondor (1934), Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA May 16, 2005 Updated: Jan 9, 2006Bright golden brown in color with not much of a head. Souring aroma. Smells mighty malty, like a Marzen sans hops. Some brown sugar and maple syrup in the smell as well. Spice completion ignites the smooth, subtle flavoring. Nuts and caramel protrude. Much creamier than expected. Finishes like a cinnamon roll. Not very eventful, but good. TheBeerOrg (1563), Kentucky, USA May 8, 2005 Updated: Jun 22, 2007Pours amber with a fully receding wispy white head. Aroma of toffee, caramel, and malty lager yeast. Taste of chewy caramel malt with bready yeast. Alcohol is somewhat noticable. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with dense carbonation. Reminds me very much of an Oktoberfest I just brewed, this yeast is very similar to Wy2308. Enjoyable. dirtyc (173), Erie, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 29, 2005 I have to say that I have enjoyed every Great Lakes beer that I have had so far, very smooth, great taste and aroma, when I have the money, I will go for the variety pack
