| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 14, 2009 Bottle. Pours dark amber with a foamy beige head. Aroma is slightly hoppy, yet smooth and balanced. Flavor is a perfect blend of hops and malt; this beer is neither too bitter nor too malty. Pretty good. MereLikesBeer (154), Royal Oak, Michigan, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 9, 2009 I had this on tap, it poured a nice dark color. I didn’t know what kind of beer it was when I ordered it, and I was wary, thinking it might have been a stout when it arrived at the table because it was pretty dark. It had a nice malty caramel aroma. Tasted pretty good too. It was sweet, but had a nice mouthfeel, light carbonation and a pretty malty taste. Overall, pretty good beverage. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jul 7, 2009 From a bottle. Pours dark brown/amber. Simultaneously nutty and hoppy aroma. Extremely well-balanced and drinkable. A nice level of chocolatey roast inter-mingled with a fresh dose of hops and precise carbonation. One of those beers you can drink all night. Different and tasty enough to be fantastic. lordsummerisle (17), New York, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 2, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Pours copper with thin off-white head. Aroma is malty with pine notes and slight alcohol. Taste is sweet caramel malt and nuts with a nice hop finish. Extremely well balanced. A little too dry in the finish perhaps. Still, this might be the best dark lager I’ve ever had--admittedly I’m not usually an aficionado of the style. Very good, worth seeking out. Onslow (174), Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 1, 2009 Dark amber pour from a 12oz bottle. Two fingers of off whit ehead that collapses with lacing down the sides of the glass. Malty aroma with gentle hops and slight ethanol overtone. Overall tasty beer - sweet malt at the start with a hoppy bite at the finish, well balanced. A litttle on the sweet side but not in a bad way. Bigmmartin (367), Dayton, Ohio, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 25, 2009 I don’t even know what the hell a Vienna is. I just consider this an Amber Lager.... which I guess is apparently a Vienna. Hmm...ok interesting. Anyways, I only drink this on tap at the Sports Deck in Kettering because it’s the best beer they have available. It has a nice deep amber color and decent aroma. Flavor is mild to moderate sweet and malty. Some caramel. Crisp finish. Pipper (230), Ohio, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 23, 2009 Bottle at a restaurant, no glass. Aroma is hoppy and grassy with maltier bud lite flavor and some carbonation. Finishes dry and forgetable. Find this boring maybe I just don’t like the style.
