Nose is caramel, sweet malts, light hoppiness, and light toffee. Very nice! Taste is nutty and hoppy with some earthy notes, light caramel and sweet malts. Body is medium with lots of carbonation feel to it. Finish is very nutty and malty. Light caramel, hoppy earthy notes, and almost a wood-like finish. Nice! beerhugger (541), Oshawa, Ontario, Canada Apr 2, 2005 Lots of sweetcaramel malt go along with some floaral hops from this rich copper coloured beer. Nice malty toffee flavours with a good medium mouthfeel and lingering finish. Solid. cathcacr (586), Portland, Oregon, USA Mar 30, 2005 As respectable as a lager gets, and that’s finally saying a lot. Take this one seriously, beer lovers. I don’t think I have any descriptive notes to add over and above the others. balke13 (156), MIssoula, Montana, USA Mar 29, 2005 Dark amber with a small off white head...wonderful sweet malty, carmel, and toffee aroma. Smooth and sweet body of malt and carmel....very drinkable and well balanced, not overtly sweet. Great everyday brew.
