tsetlock (66), Livonia, Michigan, USA Apr 28, 2009 Pours a clear copper/brown color with a medium head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of sweet malts, grain, caramel and hops with a bit of a pine note. Taste is toasted malts with sweet-like fruit notes and grassy hops. Light-to-medium bodied. Smooth, and very easy to drink. yobdoog (1420), Woodridge NY, New York, USA Apr 22, 2009 This was awesome. So rich and creamy. Nice body and wonderful aroma. Bready, yeast some spice and a light hop presence. Taste is smooth and highly drinkable. Pastor (509), Maine, USA Apr 19, 2009 Thanks George.
I poured this bottle into my Pilsener glass and it produced a finger worth of white head that turned to a thick lace. The body of the brew was amber to brown.
Aromas of caramel malts and bread filled my head. The flavor was malt forward and with a light bitter finish. It had a nice light and crisp feel in my mouth with great carbonation.
I really like drinking these great lagers; it is a great change of pace
tmohr (22), Illinois, USA Apr 17, 2009 Updated: Jul 5, 2009Pours a lovely amber with a nice head. Slightly hoppy, balanced with malt and a little bitterness. Excellent stuff. Adam77 (407), Eastampton, New Jersey, USA Apr 13, 2009 Poured amber with a white head. Aroma of caramel and fruit. Sweet candy caramel with a hint of fruit. Not bad. jfenglish (198), Chicago, Illinois, USA Apr 7, 2009 Bottle. Amber hue, thin head. Nose is a balance of hops and malt. Smooth body, taste similar to aroma- sweet malt and faint hops for balance. This isn’t terribly complex, but I don’t think that’s what they were going for either. This is a real nice quaffer. Reminds me of a Sam Adams Boston Lager with a touch of cinnamon at the end and a bit more alcohol present. Well made. 6ROW (243), corpus christi, Texas, USA Apr 6, 2009 copper pour with small white head. greta amber lager, i will drink this again
