Poured a deep orange color with a very small head and just about no lacing. The aroma was bready, sweet malts. Typical for the style, but weak. The flavor followed on this theme and also had a light spicing to it. Mouthfeel was thick and approached almost that of a maibock. aracauna (2391), Georgia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 6, 2004 Pretty, clear mahogany with a yellow khaki head that builds up nicely but fades quickly. Toasted malty aroma is followed by a lightly sweet toast flavor with a bit of bright hop bitterness in the finish. Great Lakes really excels with its lagers. Boutip (2386), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 25, 2005 Bottle: Poured a mid-brown color beer with an above average white foamy head with good retention. Nice malty aroma with some roastiness and some nuts. Taste is quite malty with a smooth creamy taste and light bitterness at the end. Body is fuller then expected and probably fuller then most Vienna I tasted before. Overall, this is real good stuff. badlizard (2373), Berkeley, California, USA

Wheat bread aroma. Sweet caramel and bready taste with a nice crisp finish. Not bad. Beerlando (2347), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 2, 2008 Pours a deep red amber color with a spongy, cream colored head. Thin sheets of delicate lacing traipse about the glass. The aroma is heavy on caramel malt, but balanced well by notes of freshly harvest wheat, dry cereal grains, and mildly spicy floral hops. The flavor is as even keeled as the nose hints, proudly displaying the aforementioned components in a harmonious, pleasing way. The balance is fantastic, enhanced no doubt by a smoothing creaminess that pulls everything together. Medium bodied, smooth, and well carbonated, this one is a crowd pleaser. This brew would make a great break-in beer for someone new to the craft beer world. Excellent example of the Vienna style. Spiesy (2333), Global Citizen, Greater London, England
