| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 14, 2002 A very deep orange color with a thick tan head that lasted. Very malty sweetness but balanced with the bitterness. I laughed when I read ultraspank’s comment about the hop burbs because I experienced the same thing but wasn’t sure how I could tactfully say anything about it. This is a very smooth beer that gets nicer as you drink it. bager (2121), Copenhagen N, Denmark

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Apr 28, 2007 Nicely done! Reddish amber color, one finger khaki head, foaming and lasting. Somewhaqt mild aroma, but hints at a toffee like sweetness, a deep earthiness, and some green noble hop. Flavor exquisitely balanced, with a full rounded bready sweetness and a lightly spicy and floral hop character that leads to a medium bitter finish. Clean and well brewed. radiomgb (2070), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 30, 2005 Bottle. Amber in colour with a beige coloured head. The aroma was malty ( lots of bread, caramel and cookies) with some citrus. The flavour was of cookie dough, roasted nuts, caramel. Smooth mouthfeel, medium body, medium carbonation. Finishes with a medium lingering bitterness. Quite enjoyable. vyvvy (2068), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 28, 2006 Pours reddish copper with a small white head. The aroma is roasted malt with some clean caramel. It is medium bodied with a slick feel and medium/sharp carbonation. The tast is rich roasted caramel with a sharp hop bite. The taste is crisper than the description suggest. The finish is sour hoppy - the sourness seems right, not like something went wrong causing it. The finish becomes more of a clear bitterness further down the glass. Nice beer.
