Commercial Description:
Deep Amber red color, with a fragrant malt aroma. Flavorful notes of rich caramelized malt and noble hop flavors harmonize on the palate leading to a crisp clean finish. Named after one of Cleveland's most respected safety directors, who frequented the brewpub's bar during his tenure from 1935-1941 and, according to popular legend, was responsible for the bullet holes still evident today.

This beer was mighty tastey! It was rich in an reddish coloured pour. Soft fluffy medium sized head with malty taste. Caramel flavor was prevalent, and it was a really filling brew.

Deep, vaguely hazy reddish-copper, with a thin, nicely firmed lasting head. Great nose, very malty with lots of caramel, also a bit sweet. Wonderful flavor, simply huge malts, nicely caramel-sweet with butterscotch and maybe a slight bit of apple tartness. Palate is the best part, very sticky and full. Great, great stuff, currently voted in as the best lager I’ve ever had. I would bathe in this on a daily basis had I that option.

Bright golden brown in color with not much of a head. Souring aroma. Smells mighty malty, like a Marzen sans hops. Some brown sugar and maple syrup in the smell as well. Spice completion ignites the smooth, subtle flavoring. Nuts and caramel protrude. Much creamier than expected. Finishes like a cinnamon roll. Not very eventful, but good.

brown pour with a creamy slightly yellow pour. malty brown sugar and roach clip(faint but there) nose. taste is straw, brachs rootbeer candy, a sticky brew. waffle cone finish. enough floral hop taste mixed in there to keep it level.

Pours auburn and transparent with fizzy off white head. Big malty aroma. Caramel malts up front hops, roast and fresh bread on the backside. I wish I had access to great lakes beer on the regular

12 oz bottle with gputty. Clear amber with a thin tan head. Caramel and light spice in the nose. Malty, spicy flavor, a bit of raisin. Solid.

Deep sparkling copper body topped by a foamy light tan head with stringy lacing. The aroma is pure malty vienna lager. Lightly nutty, notes of butter and hops. Subtle but nice aroma. The flavor is briliant. Nutty sweet bitterness that is simply divine. Extremely drinkable. Medium body lightly dry finsih. One of the best viennas out there. Thanks Dan, though you still owe me. ;)
