Smells like autumn, leaves, sweet malt, caramel, pumpkin, sweet spice. The flavor is nice and malty, sweet malts, light grassy hops, pumpkin meat, easy to drink. The palate is a little strange, absolutely zero carbonation in my sample despite the profuse head. Beerdedone (1885), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA

Teenie-tiny hops presence (35IBU). Pretty good with the sausage plate appetizer!!! BeerLimey (1873), California, USA

Sweet malts, caramel flavor, nice creaminess and well rounded feel. One of the best Vienna's I've tasted. I'll drink to Elliott Ness on this one. iowaherkeye (1860), Los Angeles, California, USA

Pours a clear brownish amber with a small eggshell head. Aromas of spicy hops, caramel and toffee malts. Some nuttiness up front followed by the same sweet caramel and toffee into a mildly bitter finish. Some biscuity malts toward the end as well. Mildly carbonated, soft on the palate with a medium body. Good, but not fantastic. DrnkMcDermott (1855), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA

Very Mellow malts, just a touch of caramel. Hops are equally mellow, with just a little bitterness and graininess. A slight flourish of poerter malts toward the end.
Original rating: 9/16/03, Score: 4.1 Draft. Did not even realize this was a lager beer, thought it was more of a brown ale (that’s a compliment). A nice creamy head, almost stoutlike. Had a good beery smell with a touch of fruitiness that led me to think this was an ale. A complex hop taste that I thought had more American hops that the normal German ones. A delightful brew that stands out at any autumn party. Crosling (1854), Loveland, Colorado, USA

Moderately aromatic with notes of toasted and caramel malts, slight spice and apples.
Solidly crafted, nice malt body, apples and caramel with toasted malt and berries.
Another well crafted brew from Great Lakes. It wasn’t quite what I was expecting but very good nonetheless.
