Commercial Description:
Deep Amber red color, with a fragrant malt aroma. Flavorful notes of rich caramelized malt and noble hop flavors harmonize on the palate leading to a crisp clean finish. Named after one of Cleveland's most respected safety directors, who frequented the brewpub's bar during his tenure from 1935-1941 and, according to popular legend, was responsible for the bullet holes still evident today.

Deep amber with thin off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt & light spice. Pretty much the same in the taste with a mild dry finish. Perhaps a little thin but overall pretty good.

Bottle Pours a red/copper with a very large foamy off-white head. After this finally settles, a thin layer remains to bolster the decent lacing. Aroma is malt and applesauce. Som edakr roasted grain. Nice rich flavors. Carmel, hops and a little smokey. Deep and..well...’noble’... Rounded complex taste. Feel is rich and soft, with a woody and not bitter after taste. Quite good. Thanks to EddieG for the trade.

Nice look, weak aroma. Body is a dark brownish copper... tarnished penny, with a foamy head. Aroma is grainy and a little yeasty. Mouthfeel is a little watery, but flavor is pretty nice. Flavor is grainy with toffee/caramel notes of sweetness and a bit of hops crispness in the finish. Very refreshing, but not very hearty.

bottle by way StFun. dark reddish copper color with a thin off white head. straight forward aromas of toffee, brown sugar, earthy hops and grain. same with the flavors... caramel grain, grass and earthy prickly hops with a touch of tartness. bright and crisp dry finish cleans the palate nicely. medium body with prickly carbonation. perfectly balanced easy drinker for the summer months... makes me wonder why beers like this are not made in AZ...

Obtained via trade with Beeryum. Pours somewhat cloudy reddish brown with a medium beige head. Aroma of caramel, apple and slight roastiness. Flavor has notes of toasted malt, caramel, pear, dark fruit and noble hops. Pleasantly sweet, plenty of bitterness in there for great balance. Very full, round and creamy on the palate with lively carbonation. Very good.

Pours a darker, but clear, reddish amber with a medium frothy/creamy off-white head, pretty nice pour for a vienna. Sweet bready / toasty malt aroma. Yum...great malt beer... ever so slightly toasty, buttery, and a bit of caramel. The hops are in perfect light balance as a compliment to the malt. Some breadiness...almost like rye. Very soft and smooth palate. This is an excellent Vienna. FANTASTIC!

Tried at the Boneyard in Cleveland. Prolly the best looking Amber I have ever tried. Almost a glowing amber color with a thick foamy had with great lacing and retention. I was in a bar, so there were far too many other smells to really pin down the nose. Taste was clean, smooth, with good body and very nice flavor.
