Commercial Description:
Deep Amber red color, with a fragrant malt aroma. Flavorful notes of rich caramelized malt and noble hop flavors harmonize on the palate leading to a crisp clean finish. Named after one of Cleveland's most respected safety directors, who frequented the brewpub's bar during his tenure from 1935-1941 and, according to popular legend, was responsible for the bullet holes still evident today.

Bright red-amber. Creamy beige head. Sweet, buttery, malty aroma w/ notes of honey & lightly roasted nuts. Soft, creamy feel. Rich, buttery malt flavour of caramel, cane sugar, & honey. Slightly sour w/ some smokey & oaky notes. Clean finish w/ fresh bitterness. Elegantly balanced.

Bottled. Deep amber color with cherry tints. Big hop bitterness with medium to full Vienna malt flavor. Smooth and well rounded with a strong, hoppy finish. the malt is slightly over-run by the bitterness, but altogether an interesting, flavorful interpretation.

typical amber pour, beige head. Nice malt profile, and just enough hops. Extremely well balanced, and i could drink this forever. One of the most balanced beers i have ever had, a true session beer.

12 oz bottle. Poured a deep ruby red color with a small off-white head. Aroma was very sweet malt. Taste was malty with an aftertaste that was a little off.

12 oz: pours a clear red amber. A generous head forms and then quickly dies. . . aroma contains large amounts of whole grains, wheat and a hint of piney hops. Palate is smooth and soft. Flavours have some great malt and a bit of dry fruit. Hops come in a very clean finish that contains some pepper and nuts. Thanks Santa, aofoxxy.
