| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 10, 2009 355 mL bottle. Copper orange with a small white head. Malty aroma with a touch of earthy hops. Smooth malty flavour, with just enough hops to balance the sweetness, without getting in the way of the caramel. Just a nice, drinkable beer; nothing fancy. herbjones (742), Orange, California, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 10, 2008 Bottle. Please enjoy by: 01/13/08. Pours a clear, deep amber body with a one finger-thick tan head. Rich caramel maltiness in the aroma. Solidly medium-bodied. Lots of rich caramel and sweetly roasted maltiness start things off. Finishes with some drying, Corn Flakes-ish graininess. Another excellent job by Great Lakes at a style nobody cares about. fiver29 (736), Cleveland, Ohio, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 19, 2008 Bottle pours a dark amber color. Has a thin white head that does not last very long. Has a malty aroma followed by a medium mouthfeel. Tastes like a lightly spicy malt brew with little hop flavor or aroma. Good beer for the style. Sregnar35 (732), Rotterdam, New York, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 20, 2007 12oz bottle. Best by 10/22/07. Pours a deep amber color with a small, quickly fading white head. Aroma is pretty standard lager, though pleasant. Honey, slightly toasted malts, a tad sweet, grainy. Crisp, sweet, carmel taste. Smooth and light bodied. Very clean yet still flavorful. I’m not a big lager guy but Great Lakes certainly makes some of the best in the country.
